The Trumpet Pitcher-Plant is not native to the NJ pine barrens. Most references list their range as Virginia and south. These plants were "introduced", live and obviously are reproducing in the NJ Pinelands. As of June '99, there were six clusters of mature plants and three baby plants. These pictures were taken June 19, 1999.
The location of these plants was discovered by my good friend Bob Moyer.
