The first picture was taken July 24, 2004 near Webbs Mill, NJ. The last picture was taken a few years earlier of an individual in the same population.
In attendance on the outing when the last picture was taken were, Doris and Howard Boyd, Anne and Bob Moyer, my wife Alison and myself. Bob Moyer showed us some special plants which he had discovered. Doris Boyd also photographed this same blossum. Doris liked her photograph enough to paint a picture of it, which she later offered and which I purchased as a gift for Alison. In our house, we have an enlargment of this picture and Doris's painting of the same blossum displayed adjacent to each other.
